27A - Reading Reflection
The book I chose for the last reading reflection part three is the "Thinking Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman.
Most of the content in this book is about 'way of thinking'. The fast thinking comes from the automatic/cognitive thinking, but the slow thinking comes from the computation/problem-analysis with efforts. Lets say, you said some compliments to your friend, and the reaction of your friends face, and the emotion you accepted from that reaction could be example of fast thinking. As it looks like, fast thinking is kind of direct output. Solving math problems could be slow thinking. You would think and concern more to solve the problem rather than solving it directly. The book is not really asking you to act in certain way, but it helps you to realize your strength and weakness in your cognitive thinking skills.
I would recommend this book who work in business and planning. As I am a sports management major, which means I have to take care of both side as service provider and stat worker, this book helped me on understanding how to approach problems. I think it can be relate with the learning in ENT3003 because the most important part of starting business is thinking. Business is a process of planning, designing and making up. This book can help us in several skills, such as plan-out business such as interview plans. The most surprising moment in the book was how it classified the way of thinking and broaden my vision in thinking. It helped me to think more careful and deep.
